About Me:
Well, where to begin.
After graduating from the Lincoln School of Journalism in 2007 I began writing casually for a number of websites before deciding to put together my own place where I had more freedom to express my own opinion.
The very essence of Wrestling, for me at least, is personal opinion. What I love about Wrestling is that every fan has their own individual views and are often not afraid to express them.
I originally created WWEBlog as a place to expand on my more formal articles, then quickly realised it had much more potential and began looking at ways to expand.
Outside of the WWEBlog world I also enjoy unwinding on my PS3, watching Football (or soccer if you’re from across the pond) and generally relaxing with my FiancĂ©’ and friends.
Favourite Wrestler:
Shane McMahon
Although I only started properly following wrestling in 1999 I had been watching it on and off since the early 90’s.
I’ve seen quite a few Superstars come and go over the years and every time someone ask me who my favourite wrestler is and I answer, I get a funny look.
I won’t deny that I love The Rock, Stone Cold, Hogan, Edge and Christian and many others, but for some reason the guy who always stands out in my head is Shane McMahon.
Not only is he pretty polished at promo delivery, he’s completely fearless in the ring.
He might not have the most wrestling talent in the industry, or even in his own family, but he’s willing to do almost anything to make a match entertaining.
Favourite Pay Per View:
Unforgiven 1999
Not many people will remember Unforgiven 1999.
It wasn’t the most eventful Pay Per View, but for some reason it is one of my favourite events of all time.
There was the whole ‘referee’s on strike’ storyline going on, meaning all but a couple of matches were officiated by ’scabs’ like Tom Prichard, but there seemed to be a personality and character to each match that today’s PPV’s tend to lack.
Other close contenders were Fully Loaded 99, SummerSlam 99 and Survivor Series 99.
