    The Raw Review - 04/05/2009

Hello and welcome to the live Raw Review on the 4th of May 2009! Tonight Shane McMahon takes on Randy Orton, but with Legacy watching his back and both Batista and M.V.P gunning for the Champ, chances are there will be more to this match than meets the eye.

    On with the show…

    Opening Segment

    Main Event Match

It seemed like we were going to get the scheduled main event at the start of the show. Things started with a real bang as Shane surprised Orton and entered the ring through the crowd rather than down the ramp, jumping the Champion and gaining the upper hand.

The two men brawled through the crowd with Shane getting the upper hand. Back inside the safety railings Shane laid Orton on the announce table and looked to jump onto him from the top turnbuckle before Priceless emerged and took him down.

M.V.P came to Shane’s aid but the numbers game also caught up with him and it took a run-in from The Animal to send Legacy fleeing from the ring.

Vikki appeared on the ramp and said that her main event (which she sensibly scheduled for the start of the show) would not be jepardised and Shane and Orton would meet later on in the show. She then said that Batista will face one half of Priceless, while M.V.P will face the other, and whoever wins in those matches will be able to join either Shane or Randy’s team in the main event.

So in theory the main event could end up being a 3 on 1 match in favour of either ‘team’.

    Match 1

    Singles Match
    Matt Hardy
    Vs.
    Kofi Kingston

Before the match King and Cole discussed the possibility that Matt doesn’t actually have a broken hand and is using the cast as an advantage. Matt then tells the crowd that Jeff broke his hand and he should not be wrestling tonight, which has led him to file a complaint to the big cheeses of the WWE.

Good stuff from both guys, with Matt hitting some big offence despite his hand being in a cast and seemingly controlling the lions share of the match. However, it was Kofi Kingston who pulled a win almost out of thin air by hitting Trouble in Paradise after it looked like Matt attempted to hit him with the cast.

After the match Kofi celebrated before Matt struck him with the cast, further fuelling the theory that his hand isn’t actually broken.

    Kofi Kingston wins by Pinfall.

    Segment 2

    Santino and Kelly Kelly

Santino tells Kelly Kelly that she will enjoy tagging with his twin sister this week on Superstars, before saying she won’t be on Raw tonight because she got breathed on by Vikki Guererro last week and has come down with Swine Flu.

Chavo then walked in and asked if he was making fun of his Aunt, explaining that Raw is now under new management and Santino would be wise to not make fun of him or Vikki.

Santino wrapped up the segment by asking Chavo to relay a message to Vikki for him, before sqealing like a pig, laughing and walking off while pulling a strongman pose.

    Segment 3

    Show demands a match

After footage of Show’s attack on Cena at Backlash, The Giant stormed into Vikki’s office and demanded a match with Cena tonight as he cost him the No.1 Contendership last week. Vikki said she couldn’t put Cena in a match tonight because the medics wouldn’t clear him for at least two weeks, but to appease the 7ft Superstar she said he could face the former Champ at Judgement Day.

Before the break Vikki and Brie Bella swamp M.V.P and ask him about being on ‘The View’.

    Match 2

Singles ‘Win and you’re in’ Match
    M.V.P
    Vs.
    Cody Rhodes

For some unknown reason William Regal joined the commentary team for this one. Before the match started he complained that The Miz and even Mr. Kennedy who is currently unfit to compete appears in the Raw intro video, while he is nowhere to be seen.

In the ring both Superstars did a brilliant job of cancelling each other out and it wasn’t until the end of the match that Regal’s real intentions became apparent, when he attacked M.V.P and knocked him off the apron behind the referee’s back. M.V.P failed to make it back into the ring before the count of 10 and Cody Rhodes was declared the winner, fast tracking him straight into tonight’s main event.

It looks like Regal is once again set to be thrust into the title picture, with the United States strap being the target this time around. I personally hope he wins it and retires it, bringing the European Championship back in it’s place, although I doubt it will actually happen.

Cody Rhodes wins by Count Out.

    Segment 4

The King’s Sing Off, The Miz, John Cena & The Big Show

After the break The King announces that after Smackdown’s dance contest, Raw is going to go one better and have a sing off between Jillian Hall and her hand picked opponent; Festus.

Jillian starts and makes a hash of whatever it was she was trying to sing. The King then tells Festus it is his turn, but the corn fed colossus fails to perform. The King eventually realises that if he rings the bell Festus might spring into life, which he does delivering a very gruff version of ‘The sun will come out tomorrow’ from Annie.

After ringing the bell for a second time to halt him, the crowd decide Festus is the winner which doesn’t go down too well with Jillian.

The Miz then enters and throws Festus to the outside, before calling Cena out as he did last week. Eventually Cena appears on the Titan-Tron and appears to be hobbling out to the ring as we cut to a break.

After the break The Miz is STILL talking, asking why the crowd boo him when Cena is the one that still fails to show up and answer his challenge. The Miz continues to speak the truth as he did last week, saying that Cena is just a product of the WWE machine, manufactured for little kids to cheer for and mothers to fantasise over.

Just as Miz is about to force Lillian to announce a victory for him for the second straight week, Cena makes his entrance and tentatively enters the ring.

However, as soon as he does The Big Show appears and does the same, squaring up to his Judgement Day opponent before doing more damage to Cena’s already injured mid-section and leaving him seemingly unconcious.

Phew that was a long segment!

    Match 3

    Diva’s Singles Match
    Mickey James
    Vs.
    Maryse

Jared ‘The Subway Guy’ Fogle was the special ring announcer for this match and I can’t work out which baffles me more:

The fact him being the ring announcer was the most blatant advertising ploy I’ve ever seen
    or
How that guy is still a celebrity just because he lost some weight TEN YEARS ago!

Well done to him, he turned his life around and lost a lot of weight, BUT a lot of people do the same thing. I think South Park dealt with how deceptive the whole Jared advertising campaign was (and still is) so I won’t go into all that, but needless to say I didn’t appreciate this blatant and shameless advertising ploy.

By the way, we at WWEBlog.co.uk would like to take this oppertunity to ask you to consider bookmarking us and remind you to Eat Fresh! at Subway.

The match was no more interesting than Jared himself, with Mickey James grabbing a relatively quick win with a poor jumping DDT.

    Mickey James wins by Pinfall.

    Match 4

Singles ‘Win and you’re in’ Match
    Batista
    Vs.
    Ted DiBiase

It didn’t look like Rhodes would ever get going in this match, with Batista swatting away practically everything the third generation Superstar could throw at him.

Batista hit a string of high impact moves but DiBiase managed to take control momentarily after hitting a dropkick and slowing the pace of the match with a submission hold.

Batista soon regained control of the match but lost control of his emotions, beating down DiBiase in the corner and refusing to release the hold, leaving the referee no option but to DQ The Animal and make the main event a 3 on 1 match.

    Ted DiBiase wins by Disqualification.

    Segment 5

    The Guererro’s discuss tactics

Vikki and Chavo chat backstage about how they can keep M.V.P and Batista away from the ring during the main event. Chavo kissed Vikki’s behind saying she is a great G.M, but then said if he was in charge he would threaten to strip M.V.P of his title and Batista of his No. 1 Contender status should they get involved.

Before Vikki could agree Chavo said he would inform them of her decision and left.

    Match 5

    Singles Match
    ‘The’ Brian Kendrick
    Vs.
    Carlito

Primo initially made his way to the ring behind his brother, but Carlito decided he wasn’t needed and sent him to the back.

It turned out that Carlio made the right decision, as he certainly didn’t need his brother’s help to pick up a victory in this match. Kendrick was hit with a Backstabber just minutes after the bell and showed no signs of kicking out as the referee counted the pinfall.

Not sure what the point of this match was, unless Kendrick can find a partner and challenge for the Tag Titles.

    Carlito wins by Pinfall.

    Main Event Match

    3 on 1 Handicap Match
    Shane McMahon
    Vs.
    Legacy

Just before the main event Batista approached Shane in the back and apologised for losing tonight and effectively condemning him to a beating. Shane said it was fine although he didn’t sound too convincing. Batista said that in two weeks time he will take the title from Orton and exact some revenge for the McMahon family, but Shane seemed un-interested and walked away.

Once the match had begun Shane fought valiantly in the early going against DiBiase but it didn’t take long for the numbers game to catch up with him. Every time Shane came close to gaining the upper hand, the members of Legacy made a tag and swung the momentum back in their favour. Despite this McMahon did manage to score a near fall when he prevented DiBiase from making a tag and hit a big elbow from the top rope, which required Rhodes to break up the pin in order to save the match.

Shane continued with the offence, managing to incapacitate both members of Priceless on the outside. Seconds later Orton blindsided McMahon and the momentum once again swung in Legacy’s favour.

After taking more punishment, Shane again fought back and managed to ground all three members of Legacy, before laying Orton on the announce table and setting him up for a Leap of Faith. Shane jumped but Orton moved and McMahon crashed and burned.

Legacy then dragged Shane to the ring steps where they smashed his ankle between the steel and a chair, before laying it across the base of the steps. Orton then picked up the other half and drove it down onto his ankle (although it looked like it blatantly missed to me, and the following camera shots conveniently had DiBiase’s head in the way.)

Batista ran to the ring after officials had split the situation up, while Legacy skulked away to the top of the ramp. Orton told Batista that his Judgement Day was coming and the two stared at each other as The Animal begged Orton to come to the ring and settle things now.

Yet another match where the result wasn’t announced or even mentioned. I’m going to guess at a McMahon victory by D.Q, but it could easily have been a count out or double count out.

    Shane McMahon wins by Disqualification.

    The ECW Digest – 05/05/2009

    Opening Match

    Singles Match
    Evan Bourne
    Vs.
    Tyson Kidd (w/Natalya)

These guys, as Matt Striker pointed out early on in the match, are very evenly matched in terms of wrestling style and ability, and as we saw last week Natalya could well be the difference maker in such a close competition.

Bourne took the match to Kidd early on, even maintaining the upper hand when Natalya momentarily distracted him. However, Kidd capitalised and took control when he knocked Bourne from the second rope, before slowing things down with a selection of grounding submissions.

Natalya got involved in the action again late on, pulling Bourne from the apron and putting Kidd in a potentially match winning situation. It wasn’t to be Kidd’s night though, as Finlay appeared and gained a little retribution from last week, striking the up and comer in the knee behind the officials back.

Bourne took advantage of the run-in, hitting a Shooting Star Press and picking the three count over Kidd, who had looked more likely to win the match until Finlay’s presence was felt.

    Evan Bourne wins by Pinfall.

    Segment 1

Jack Swagger’s reasoning and a ‘new’ face

Josh Matthews asks the former ECW Champion why he ruined the main event last week. Swagger said that he didn’t want anyone having a title shot before his re-match, and when Matthews asked him why it matters who the champion is he went into a rant.

He said it wasn’t fair that Christian cheated to win the title and it was a travesty that ‘fatty Dreamer’ got a shot at the title before he did. Swagger continued to insult Dreamer until the ECW Original ran to the ring and attacked him.

Swagger made a quick exit while Dreamer stood in the ring and begged him to come back.

Afterwards the camera’s cut to backstage where recently drafted Zack Ryder chatted with interim G.M Tiffany.

Ryder has undergone quite an image change, now sporting a headband, shades and short spiked hair. When I first saw him he put me in mind of Billy Gunn in the ‘Billy& Chuck’ stages of his career.

Tiffany said she was excited to see what he was going to bring to the brand and he said he was going to be the biggest star ECW had ever seen, before spouting what I assume is his new (and completely ridiculous) catchprhase; ‘Woo, woo, woo… you know it’.

Tiffany told him that he had his first match on ‘Superstars’ this Thursday, against Finlay to which Ryder expressed concerns about the fighting Irishman messing up his ‘sick new haircut’.

    Match 2

    Singles Match
    Vladimir Kozlov
    Vs.
    Jesse Guilmette

Once again it’s time to delve into the career of another one of WWE’s jobbing youngsters, or at least it usually would be. I’ve tried to find some info on Jesse Guilmette but there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot out there.

He trained under Les Thatcher at the Main Event Pro Wrestling Camp in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2000. Guilmette trained alongside now commentator Matt Striker (or Stryker as he was then known), and made his debut with the WWE by jobbing to the Boogeyman in 2007.

Unsurprisingly Guilmette was destroyed by the Moscow Mauler who picked up the win with a slam of some description, I’d lost interest to be honest.

How much longer does Kozlov have to be put over by these guys? The sad thing is they have displayed more talent in these completely one sided encounters than I think I’ve ever seen from Kozlov.

    Vladimir Kozlov wins by Pinfall.

    Segment 2

    Helms interviews Mark Henry

Is Helms injured? I hope to hell that he is because having him backstage is a waste.

He asked Mark Henry if he looked at tonight’s match against Christian as a way to restate his dominance and position in the title picture.

Henry said it didn’t need restating.

    Great stuff…

    Main Event Match

    Singles Match
    Christian
    Vs.
    Mark Henry (w/Tony Atlas)

Nothing remarkable to shout about in this one, that is until Swagger once again decided to interject himself, attacking Christian.

Dreamer then made his way out and levelled things up, clearing house before Tiffany appeared and decided to make this a tag team match.

    Main Event Match…Part 2

    Tag Team Match
    Christian & Tommy Dreamer
    Vs.
Mark Henry & Jack Swagger (w/Tony Atlas)

Again nothing remarkable, Mark Henry seems to have a knack of lowering my interest in nearly every match he is involved in these days. I used to quite like him but I think there are better Superstars on ECW,  both in terms of wrestling and promo ability.

In truth it wasn’t a terrible match but certainly not something that is going to be remembered in a weeks time. Christian and Swagger looked good when they faced each other and I wouldn’t be surprised if they did a little show stealing at Judgement Day, provided Henry and Dreamer aren’t thrown into the mix.

Swagger grabbed a dirty win over a pumped up Dreamer when he slammed the ECW Original’s head into an exposed middle turnbuckle before hitting a Gutwrench Powerbomb.

Atlas covered the turnbuckle to avoid any repercussions and Swagger celebrated as the show went off the air.

Jack Swagger & Mark Henry win by Pinfall.

    The Superstars Recap - 07/05/2009

    Opening Segment

The Cutting Edge with Jeff Hardy

So Edge and Jeff are once again going to meet for Smackdown’s biggest prize, should we be excited? Lets find out.

Edge says that a few weeks ago he had Cena on The Cutting Edge where they discussed their storied past before he said that he would beat him for the title, and he did.

He then said that it was time for he and Jeff to end the rivalry between them, which will take place at Judgement Day when he once again wins.

Jeff then took the microphone and displayed the ridiculously vast difference in their ability to deliver promos. He reminded Edge that he had beaten him for the WWE Championship and said he was lucky when he won it back from him at the Royal Rumble.

Edge took over once more and said that they joined the company at about the same time, and while Jeff has had everything handed to him on a silver platter, he has had to earn every opportunity he’s had and has still managed to become the more accomplished Superstar.

Jeff wrapped things up by thanking Edge for the history lesson and saying the two have a long way to go yet, before hitting a Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb on the Rated R Superstar.

    Excitement Level: Average.

    Match 1

    ‘Divas’ Tag Team Match
    Santina Marella & Kelly Kelly
    Vs.
    Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes

This should be a great match *rolls eyes*

I wouldn’t have thought Santino would be happy at playing this transvesite type character but worryingly he seems to be enjoying it.

As far as the wrestling went, it was better than expected. Kelly Kelly delivered a very nice Hand-Spring Elbow that brought back memories of Chyna, before Santina then attempted to match it and failed.

Phoenix and Mendes also looked good as you’d expect, dominating for a large part of the bout and isolating Kelly Kelly.

Kelly eventually tagged in Santina who gained the upper hand before returning the favour. Kelly used a very unique legdrop to pick up the victory and maintain Santina’s ridiculous winning streak.

Kelly Kelly & Santina win by Pinfall.

    Match 2

    Singles Match
    Finlay
    Vs.
    Zack Ryder

With regards to Ryder’s new character, I think it could catch on although I haven’t heard such a camp theme tune since the days of Billy & Chuck (which coincidentally I heard a few minutes ago, as Santina is currently recycling it.)

The new gimmick seems to be similar to Ziggler’s, albeit with a few tweaks. Both are narcissistic and have terrible catchphrases, although Ryder seems to be focusing more on the self-image side of things as a pose to Ziggler’s over-inflated ego.

He looked good in this first match as did Finlay and I was quite surprised when the fighting Irishman picked up the victory with a Celtic Cross, because I thought they would give Ryder a victory on his in-ring début.

    Finlay wins by Pinfall.

    Main Event Match

    Singles Match
    Chris Jericho
    Vs.
    John Morrison

This match stems from the altercation that took place between the two guys after Jericho lost the Fatal 4-way No.1 Contenders Match on Smackdown last week.

(For anyone who doesn’t know what happened, you can check it out in Segment 4 of last week’s Smackdown Summary. )

It isn’t very often a Heel/Heel rivalry comes along and when they do the crowd reaction often suffers because they don’t really have anyone to cheer for. With that said I assume a turn isn’t too far off for one of them and Morrison is clearly the prime candidate.

Jericho is completely hated and only recently turned heel (in comparison to perennial bad guy Morrison anyway), while the crowd seem to want to like Morrison due to his excellent combination of charisma and in-ring ability.

This match was great and a match of the year candidate in my opinion. It went back and forth constantly and there wasn’t a single point in it when I found myself wishing I could fast forward it on.

Both men pulled out all the stops and it looked like Morrison might be on the way to picking up the win when he hit a Springboard Kick.

Just then the pyro’s of Shelton Benjamin hit and he appeared on the titantron. He asked Morrison if he remembered him, then said ‘Gotcha’, distracting him just long enough for Jericho to recover and hit a Codebreaker.

After the bell Shelton appeared on staging area and gloated about what he had just done as the show went off the air.

Brilliant stuff and I hope we see more from all three guys on Smackdown!

    Chris Jericho wins by Pinfall.

    The Smackdown Summary - 08/05/2009

    Opening Segment

    Welcome home Rey Mysterio

Teddy Long gives Mysterio a huge introduction before ‘the master of the 619′ (as he described him) came to the ring and said it feels good to be home on Smackdown.

He says that Jeff Hardy was the better man last week, but he knows he’ll have another chance to become World Champion so it’s all good.

He then said he’d happily defend his Intercontinental Championship against anyone and almost instantly Jericho made his way out from the back.

He told Teddy to introduce him as impressively as he had done for Mysterio, but the G.M refused.

Jericho said he didn’t need his accolades listing, before listing them all anyway and then going into his usual rant about the parasitic fans, jealous Superstars and inept G.M’s disrespecting him.

He then demands an apology and an explanation as to why he was disqualified in a Fatal 4 way match when no one in the history of that type of match has ever been disqualified.

As Jericho ranted on Rey stuck his nose in and told him to shut up, before shoving him to the floor and telling him to accept that he had lost the match.

Mysterio said he didn’t have to listen to his crap any longer and left. No. 1 contender Jeff Hardy then came to the ring and said if Jericho wanted a title match he had to beat him, the ‘charasmatic No. 1 contender’.

Despite mangling it, he managed to call Jericho a liar and a hypocrite, then requested that if Jericho beats him tonight, he would be added to the title match at Judgement Day so he can expose him as a sore loser.

Jericho swung for Jeff who dodged out of the way and slapped the taste out of his mouth, before Teddy Long confirmed that if Jericho can beat Jeff tonight he will be added to the match at Judgement Day.

    Match 1

    Singles Match
    R-Truth
    Vs.
    Mike Knox

The opening segment was quite heavy reading so I’ll make light work of this one.

R-Truth looked like he might pick up the win on a number of occasions but it was Knox who grabbed the win after a Big Boot and his finisher (I’ll call it the Knox-Out until I hear anything different.)

Nothing that interesting to be honest.

    Mike Knox wins by Pinfall.

    Match 2

    Divas Singles Match
    Michelle McCool (Alicia Fox)
    Vs.
    Gail Kim

Not a bad Diva’s match but as with the previous match not a lot to it.

Probably two of the best diva’s on Smackdown and this really showed in the match, which was fun to watch.

As expected Alicia Fox got involved, although perhaps not as she’d have hoped as McCool used her as a human shield. She again distracted Gail Kim before McCool reversed a Huricanrana and hit her version of the Styles Clash, named ‘The Faith Breaker’ to grab the win.

    Michelle McCool wins by Pinfall.

    Segment 2

More Jeff Hardy and a new face

Josh Matthews asks Jeff his thoughts going into the match against Jericho. Hardy says that the only thing running through his thoughts is the World Heavyweight Championship.

He says Jericho is a distraction with everything he does, but tonight he will put an end to that and be able to concentrate 100% on Judgement Day, where he will leave with the title.

Teddy Long, Maria and Ricky Ortiz are then shown chatting backstage. Ortiz praises Maria’s latest fashion project before Edge storms in.

Long asks Maria and Ortiz to leave, then Edge tells long he doesn’t appreciate Jericho getting the opportunity to fight for his title at Judgement Day.

Teddy tells Edge he is lucky to still have the title as C.M Punk came within seconds of cashing in his Money in the Bank last week. Edge says he had C.M Punk covered and Teddy tells him that if that’s the case they are going to have a repeat of last week: A non-title match between the two.

    Match 3

    Singles Match
    John Morrison
    Vs.
    Charlie Haas (w/Shelton Benjamin)

So the Worlds Greatest Tag Team are back together! Sort of.

Haas started this one very aggressively, which hasn’t been his style for a long time. It seemed to be working, as he scored a number of near falls over the ‘Friday Night Delight’ while Shelton barked instructions from ringside.

However, a running knee to the head and a Split-Legged Moonsault later John Morrison had picked up the win, completely against the run of the match.

After the bell Morrison invited Shelton into the ring, but he thought better of it and left.

    John Morrison wins by Pinfall.

    Match 4

    Singles Match
    Edge
    Vs.
    C.M Punk

This match last week didn’t really hold my interests, so I wasn’t particularly looking forward to a re-hashing tonight.

This week started very lively, with Punk tossing Edge to the outside and then landing a big suicide dive through the ropes.

Things seemed to be going in Punk’s favour and Edge must have realised this, as he walked out on the match and accepted a count out loss.

While he stood in the ring and challenged Edge to return, Umaga appeared via the crowd and destroyed Punk in much the same way he did last week.

C.M Punk wins by Count Out.

    Segment 3

Cryme Tyme’s ‘Hand Slam Jammy Jam’ Challenge

Have these guys forgotten how to wrestle or something? I can’t understand why they are constantly used to front these totally pointless segments, when they could easily be in a good tag team feud.

Anyway, Shad and JTG explained that they were going to try to settle the rift that emerged in last week’s Brooklyn Breakdown with a Hand Slam Jammy Jam (arm wrestling contest to you and me).

Layla and Eve came to the ring and the bottom line is that Eve won again only for Layla to attack her afterwards.

    Segment 4

    Dolph Ziggler’s Announcement

Before the commercial break Dolph Ziggler interrupted Jimmy Wang Yang and Jesse, telling them they might be interested in the announcement he is about to make.

After the commercials he made his way to the ring and said that he’s going to rip through the entire roster and show them what a real winner is.

So tonight he is issuing an open challenge to anyone in the Smackdown locker room, with a view to cementing his place as the premier Superstar on the blue brand.

As I’m sure you probably guessed The Great Khali answered the challenge.

    Match 5

    Singles Match
    The Great Khali
    Vs.
    Dolph Ziggler

Dolph tried his best to negotiate with the Punjabi Playboy but it didn’t work. Khali destroyed him until Dolph slid to the outside and grabbed a steel chair, making a point by beating the hell out of his opponent at the cost of the match.

The Great Khali wins by Disqualification.

    Main Event Match

    Singles Match
    Jeff Hardy
    Vs.
    Chris Jericho

Edge joined the commentary team for this one and almost instantly Todd Grisham asked him a stupid question; ‘Do you have a favourite in this match?’

Edge answered concisely, saying he doesn’t have a favourite but would prefer Jericho not to be added to the match as Judgement Day as it significantly reduces his odds of retaining the belt.

Edge said he couldn’t stand whiners and people who manipulate General Managers, leading J.R to ask him how his wife Vikki is.

During the match Jericho rolled to avoid the Swanton and then looked like he might take a leaf out of Edge’s book and walk out on the match.

Rey Mysterio appeared from the back and prevented him from leaving, then remained at ringside to play the role of cheerleader.

Hardy crashed and burned when he went for a wheel kick using the steel steps as a springboard, missing Jericho and crashing into the guard rail, then barely making it back into the ring to break the 10 count.

Jericho took the upper hand while J.R and Edge continued to bicker, until Jeff hit a Whisper in the Wind and grabbed a long 2 count.

Seconds later Jericho had the Walls of Jericho locked in but Jeff fought to the ropes and broke the hold. Jericho wasted time complaining to the referee and Jeff took advantage, but as with the rest of the match the momentum shifted mere seconds later.

After both men ended up on the outside Jericho threw Jeff across the announce desk directly into Edge, which angered the Rated R Superstar who climbed onto the apron and distracted Jericho, allowing Jeff to grab a near fall.

Edge then grabbed the title belt and made his way up the ramp.

After attempting to use the ropes to steal a win Jericho fell victim to the Twist of Fate/Swanton combination and lost the match, ruling him out of the title picture once and for all.

Back in the ring Mysterio attacked Jericho with a seated Senton as the show went off the air.

    Jeff Hardy wins by Pinfall.
