The Superstars Recap
Opening Match
Singles Match
Jack Swagger
Vs.
Primo
As you can see it’s another blockbuster match to kick off Superstars tonight.
I get that the show is kinda geared more towards giving mid-carders a place to battle when the Raw/ECW/Smackdown card is full, but this match was so predictable it hurt.
As the match kicked off Cole told us that he’d been chatting with Swagger earlier in the day (seriously, do the commentary team just wander around chatting all day?) and he’d asked if his undefeated run was brought to an end due to Raw’s loss at Bragging Rights.
Unsurprisingly Swagger is still claiming to be undefeated, as it was Kofi that actually had his shoulders pinned to the mat.
As soon as Cole brought up the subject it was painfully obvious which way this match would go.
Primo put up a good fight, grabbed a few near falls and performed as well as he always does, but it was Swagger who picked up the W with a Gutwrench Powerbomb.
Jack Swagger wins by Pinfall.
Segment 1
Ask The Divas
Just when you thought it was safe to tune in to Superstars again, Ask The Divas is back with a Halloween edition.
The first question poser is quite full of herself, claiming to have a body like a WWE Diva and asking what she should dress up as for Halloween.
A few of the divas gave her some suggestions before Katie Lea Burchill shot her down by questioning her Diva-like body.
The second question was about Halloween memories and produced the usual slew of dull, uninteresting answers.
Match 2
Divas Match
Kelly Kelly
Vs.
Alicia Fox
I think I might be losing the will to live.
Or at least write.
Once again Michael Cole brought up Kelly Kelly’s ‘dream’ of becoming a broadcast journalist when she’s done wrestling, this has to be leading to something eventually.
Nothing special here, just the usual divas match with a couple of botches and a surprisingly clean victory for Fox, who played a very solid heel right the way through the match.
Alicia Fox wins by Pinfall.
Match 3
Singles Match
Tyler Reks
Vs.
Zack Ryder
Praise be that Ryder is in this match, because had it been Reks Vs. Kozlov or Jackson or someone like that I might well have closed down the Superstars Recap on the spot.
Ryder dominated the early going and almost picked up a quick win with a brutal Kick to the head in the corner, but Reks managed to kick out at 2 and gradually began fighting back.
However, Ryder scored a Zack Attack completely against the run of the match and grabbed the 3 that he deserved.
Zack Ryder wins by Pinfall.
Main Event Match
6 Man Tag Team Match
R-Truth & Cryme Tyme
Vs.
Mike Knox & The Hart Dynasty
Wonderful! Just to top things off, we’re treated with ANOTHER Cryme Tyme/Hart Dynasty match, this time with R-Truth and Mike Knox thrown in for good measure.
I know it might not seem like it, but I have better things to do than watch yet another re-hash of this pretty dull rivalry, so I’m just going to cut right to the chase.
The match broke down (as it always does) leaving R-Truth and Tyson Kidd battling it out to score a pinfall.
After both men claimed near falls R-Truth hit the Lie Detector to claim a win for his team.
This could well have been the worst episode of Superstars since the show began.
R-Truth & Cryme Tyme win by Pinfall.
