The Superstars Recap
Opening Match
Singles Match
Jillian Hall
Vs.
Kelly Kelly
What’s worse than opening a show with a Divas match?
Starting a show with a Miley Cirus song from Jillian Hall.
Kelly Kelly’s music eventually interrupted and the match (which I ignored for the most part) got underway.
Why did I ignore most of this match I hear you ask?
Well, partially because I was eating pistachio nuts, but mainly (shameless plug coming up) because I was working on the eagerly anticipated WWEBlog Awards articles!
Don’t forget to have your say in the Peoples Choice category!

As for this match, Kelly Kelly picked up the victory with ‘The Kelly Kick’. Where do they come up with these names?
Kelly Kelly wins by Pinfall.
Match 2
Singles Match
Shelton Benjamin
Vs.
Vance Archer
As Shelton entered and a video played showing Archer’s DQ loss a few weeks ago, the commentary team tried to push the ongoing feud between these two guys as an incredibly intense one.
If this rivalry is indeed such a hot one, why is it that it doesn’t even warrant a spot on ECW, and has thus far played out almost entirely on Superstars?
Shelton Benjamin is better than this, in my opinion.
Benjamin is athletic, has great technical ability and is prepared to take high risks to put on an impressive match.
Yet he gets one shot at the ECW title in god knows how long, while the likes of Tommy Dreamer, William Regal and Mark Henry get numerous attempts and even title runs in some cases.
I’ve nothing against those three guys, but I think that while they are rapidly moving toward the end of their careers, Shelton still has a lot of his ahead of him.
Benjamin made this match good, while Archer did his best to keep up and to his credit didn’t do too badly either.
Once again Benjamin got caught up in the ropes, but unlike three weeks ago he was able to escape and moments later grabbed a roll-up victory.
This is Archer’s first loss, but due to the fairly high standard of the match I don’t think it’ll hurt his push too much.
Shelton Benjamin wins by Pinfall.
Segment 1
Ask The Divas
I’m losing the will to live with this segment, never mind keep slagging it off.
This week the ladies were asked if they had an essential travelling item and how you should let down a friend who likes you more than just a friend.
Blankets, Sat Navs, Mirrors and egging his house were all answers given. I’m sure you can work out which ones are for which question.
Main Event Match
Singles Match
Kane
Vs.
Chris Jericho
I don’t say this often, and I doubt I’ll get many chances to say it again in the future, but this match has the potential to be the best we’ve ever seen on Superstars.
Jericho started the match in a very evasive manner, choosing to exit the ring numerous times rather than tangle with The Big Red Machine.
When he finally did square up to his rather large adversary it was to deliver a slap, which didn’t go down well at all with Kane, who dropped him with a big right hand.
Kane dominated proceedings from then on, until Jericho low bridged the Monster before landing a Springboard Dropkick which sent Kane flying from the apron and to the outside once more.
Although things went back and forth a little, Jericho retained control for the most part, locking on a Sleeper that seemed to last forever.
Kane finally found the strength to battle out, using the turnbuckle as his ally.
Just as Kane looked to be closing in on a victory by way of a Chokeslam, Jericho escaped and fled from the ring, taking the loss by count out rather than at the Big Red Monster’s hands.
Kane wins by Count Out.
