The Superstars Recap
Match 1
Mixed Tag Team Match
Yoshi Tatsu & Gail Kim
Vs.
Jillian & Primo
Special Referees : The Bella Twins
I’m wondering how many other ways they can cram The Bella’s into WWE programming.
Now they aren’t needed to loiter around Raw Guest Hosts as much, and the switch-a-roo thing has been exhausted, I suppose guest referee seemed the next logical step.
One Bella is acting as an in-ring referee, while the other patrols the outside as some sort of enforcer.
This match went on entirely too long for the finish it received.
After some pretty good action Jillian’s frustrations bubbled over and she drilled both of The Bella’s.
Gail Kim then rolled her up and one of the two referees delivered the fast count to cost her the match.
I suppose the ending would have been better if I actually gave a damn about the rivalry between The Bella’s and Jillian.
Yoshi Tatsu & Gail Kim win by Pinfall.
Match 2
Singles Match
Zack Ryder
Vs.
Goldust
I’m rushing through Superstars quicker than usual this week, and as I don’t have a bad word to say about either of these participants I’ll keep it short.
Great match that didn’t get enough of the card for my liking.
Zack Ryder picked up the victory with the Ruff Ryder. It can’t be long before he stops doing this on Superstars and starts doing it on Raw.
Zack Ryder wins by Pinfall.
Match 3
The Masterlock Challenge
Chris Masters
Vs.
Caylen Croft of The Dudebusters
Masters has been in a slump for a while so what better way to get him back on the up than the thing that made him what he is a few years back on Raw; The Masterlock Challenge.
The problem is, he was a cocky, arrogant heel back then and it worked for him.
Now he’s a pec-dancing joke, and blacking out one half of a fledgling Tag Team doesn’t really do anything to put him over.
After Croft failed the challenge Masters challenged Baretta to take the test.
Baretta initially agreed but then the pair jumped Masters and beat him down.
Chris Masters wins by Submission.
Main Event Match
Divas Tag Team Match
Lay-Cool
Vs.
Tiffany & Kelly Kelly
Superstars has officially wasted enough of my time this week, so I’m jumping straight to the point on this one too, despite there being a plethora of things I could happily rant on about.
The end of the match was a mess, and it was kind of hard to see what the hell was going on at first, mostly due to Tiffany and Michelle McCool being dressed in exactly the same colour.
Anyway, after watching it a couple of times I figured out that Kelly had a roll-up on Layla, Tiffany entered the ring for some unknown reason, stopping the ref mid-count, Michelle booted Kelly in the face behind the referee’s back and Layla covered her for the 3.
Lay-Cool win by Pinfall.
