    The Superstars Recap

    Opening Match

    Divas Tag Team Match
    Kelly Kelly & Eve
    Vs.
Alicia Fox & Katie Lea Burchill

Superstars kicks off with Divas tonight and as much as I hate to admit it, this was a decent match.

Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox impressed me in particular, while Katie Lea put in her usual high quality performance and Eve… well Eve looked pretty I guess.

Alicia Fox picked up the pinfall over Kelly Kelly, turning the momentum of the match with a roll-through.

Alicia Fox & Katie Lea Burchill win by Pinfall.

    Match 2

    Singles Match
    Evan Bourne
    Vs.
    Carlito

Apologies for not putting in much detail about this week’s Superstars, truth be told I’m still catching up from the Rumble.

This was as fast paced as you’d expect, although slightly more brutal than I expected it to be.

Evan Bourne hit a brutal knee on the outside at one point, which honestly looked like it might have knocked some teeth down the second generation Superstar’s throat.

However, Carlito was able to recover from it and set about Bourne with some vicious kicks and stomps, before guillotining him under the bottom rope.

Carlito looked to have it won with a twisting Neckbreaker (not dissimilar to Cody Rhodes’ Cross-Rhodes), but Bourne somehow kicked out and the match continued.

Bourne also came close with an innovative Double Knee Slam kind of thing and a modified Sunset Flip before finally picking up the win with Air Bourne on the third time of asking.

Amazingly good match to say it took place on Superstars.

    Evan Bourne wins by Pinfall.

    Main Event Match

    Six Man Tag Team Match
John Morrison, Matt Hardy & The Great Khali (w/ Ranjin Singh)
    Vs.
Drew McIntyre & The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)

It looks like Hardy and Khali are a fully fledged tag team now, and  it also looks like they have stepped straight into the shoes of Cryme Tyme, working a undeservedly dull program with The Hart Dynasty.

All three members of The Dynasty are amazing talents, and I’d have expected with Bret back in the WWE, they would have worked them into the storyline some way or another.

I also thought he’d have lobbied for giving them a push in the terms of his return, but if the mediocre run of opponents they’ve faced so far is anything to go by, it doesn’t look like he did.

On the plus side this match was given a huge chunk of the card to impress, which negated the usual problem with Six Man matches where Superstars don’t get enough time to show what they are capable of.

The Hart Dynasty and McIntyre looked to have the match won as they set up Hardy for a 3-person Hart Attack, but a timely interception from The Great Khali set the good guys on the road to success, which ended with a Twist of Fate followed by a 2 handed Chokeslam that put DH Smith down for a 3 count.

Another good match on a fairly impressive edition of Superstars.

John Morrison, Matt Hardy & The Great Khali win by Pinfall.
