Hello and welcome the all new Superstars Recap.

After getting some pretty good feedback we’ve stuck with the new Weekly Rundown layout for now.

We’d still love to know what you think about the changes so please feel free to get in touch via the Contact Us page, or any of the usual email addresses.

    On with the show!

    The Superstars Recap

    Opening Match

    Singles Match
    Shad (w/JTG & Eve)
    Vs.
    Tyson Kidd (w/The Hart Dynasty)

I think this rivalry has just about run it’s course.

I’d love to see The Hart Dynasty get a push after Hell in a Cell. A feud with Batista/Mysterio regardless of whether they take the titles or not (although I doubt they will) would do wonders for the young Canadian prodigies and would give Mysterio and Batista a chance to freshen up following their absences.

DH Smith picked up the victory over JTG on Smackdown last week so it didn’t come as a huge surprise when Shad levelled the scores here with somewhat of an upset victory over Kidd.

The conclusion of the match saw Kidd attempt a top-rope springboard only to be caught in a STO which put him down for the 3 count.

    Shad wins by Pinfall.

    Segment 1

    Ask The Divas

This week the Diva’s were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up (Dancers, Entertainers, Supermodels and of course WWE Divas) and how they manage to keep a relationship when they are always on the go.

    Wonderful stuff as always…

    Match 2

    Singles Match
    Sheamus
    Vs.
    Tyler Reks

Two members of the latest ‘New Talent Initiative’ go one on one here and it’ll be interesting to see who gets the upper hand and subsequently a potentially larger push than the other.

Sheamus demonstrated exactly why he should be considered a hot prospect in the earlier parts of this match, dominating Reks with a combination of stiff shots and well applied submission holds.

Reks, who for the record I’m still failing to find interesting, mounted a comeback at the death of the match but got caught with a big Pump Kick which put him down for the 3 count.

Another impressive performance from the Celtic Warrior.

    Sheamus wins by Pinfall.

    Main Event Match

    Singles Match
    Kofi Kingston
    Vs.
    The Miz

If this match is anything like the one these two guys put on at Breaking Point, it could be one of the best main events Superstars has seen since it’s 2009 comeback.

The Miz often gets overlooked or shunned because of his overbearing personality, but the fact is he’s come a very long way since his time in the ‘Real World’ and ‘Tough Enough’.

In truth the guy has the complete package; he’s good on the microphone and actually very proficient in the ring, as he demonstrated in this match.

If there is anything that will hold The Miz back, in the WWE at least, it’s his smaller stature. It’s no secret that Vince likes big guys at the top of his promotion (surely the only explanation for Khali holding the World Heavyweight Championship) and The Miz doesn’t quite fit this formula.

However, with Jeff Hardy and C.M Punk holding the World Heavyweight Championship there is every chance that this attitude is changing, and if so I don’t see a reason why The Miz couldn’t become World Champion one day.

Kingston had hardly any offence in this match, favouring his left leg which The Miz worked over ruthlessly.

Unfortunately for Miz, The Jamaican Sensation managed to hit some offence when it mattered the most, landing a Trouble in Paradise out of nowhere to grab an unlikely victory.

After the bell Jack Swagger hit the ring and took out both men, posing  with the United States Championship as the show went off the air.

    Kofi Kingston wins byPinfall.
