The Superstars Recap
Opening Match
Tag Team Match
Kofi Kingston & M.V.P
Vs.
Zack Ryder & Carlito (w/ Michael Tarver)
Superstars is brought to us on April Fools day this week, which is rather apt given that it is fast becoming a joke of a show.
Rosa Mendes was conspicuous by her absence tonight, but Michael Cole explained it away by saying she’d gotten into the WrestleMania spirit a little too much last week.
Plausable, had she not been on Raw just a few days ago in the unsettlingly lame ‘Hot Tub’ segments.
Michael Tarver sported his own T-Shirt as he stood at ringside barking towards M.V.P and Kofi Kingston.
It’s either a sign that the WWE thinks he has a good chance of progressing through NXT and has given him his own merchandise, or more likely he’s been to the local printers and had a $10 shirt made up.
This was the usual Superstars style match, nothing awful but certainly nothing worth writing home about.
Kofi Kingston and M.V.P picked up the win after Trouble in Paradise connected with Carlito’s head for the 1..2..3.
After the bell Zack Ryder seemed to be blaming Tarver for letting it happen, but I doubt anything will come of it.
Kofi Kingston & M.V.P win by Pinfall.

Match 2
Singles Match
Yoshi Tatsu
Vs.
William Regal (w/ Skip Sheffield)
Before this match kicked off they showed clips of Yoshi Tatsu winning the 26-Man Battle Royal that took place before WrestleMania came on the air.
Now, The Informant is currently away on business for an undisclosed time, but he occasionally sends little titbits of information back to us to pass on, such as this one.
Rumour has it that Ezekiel Jackson had been pencilled in to dominate the Battle Royal dark match before WrestleMania, but had to pull out of the bout at incredibly short notice due to the passing of his father.
Any fans of the Guyanese Giant will be pleased to know that he IS still a member of the WWE Roster and will be back on our screens in the near future.
The Informant
Terrible news for Jackson, our condolences go out to him and his family.
However, while this bad news might have set Jackson’s push back a few months, it gave a huge opportunity to The Cardiac Kid Yoshi Tatsu, who continued his winning streak by beating Regal in a pretty good match.
Yoshi Tatsu wins by Pinfall.
Main Event Match
Tag Team Match
Trent Barretta & Caylen Croft
Vs.
The Hart Dynasty (w/ Natalya)
Barretta and Croft finally introduced themselves as ‘The Dudebusters’, a name that they’d been using in FCW before their promotion to ECW.
They talked about how they are the next big thing and told The Hart Dynasty to stop going on about how they ‘know’ Bret Hart.
The Hart Dynasty make their way to the ring in a slightly more washed out pink than they usually wear, to a huge ovation from the crowd.
It looks like their face turn is now complete and if it means they’ll get a shot at the titles now I couldn’t be happier about it.
I personally think they made better heels, but the ratio of heel to face teams (or should I say ‘quality’ heel to face teams) meant that there wasn’t an opportunity for them before, which there now is.
It also means *fingers crossed* we shouldn’t see them taking on Cryme Tyme OR Matt Hardy & The Great Khali for a long, long time.
I have to admit I like Croft & Barretta, but I hate their gimmick with a passion. It’s like a poor man’s version of Edge & Christian circa 2001, with some ‘technology’ thrown in.
Despite all of them sharing a similar level of wrestling ability I think The Dynasty have got more legs in them, due to a stronger gimmick and the possibility of more Hart-linked wrestlers coming through the ranks.
They picked up the win in this match, which was a refreshing change from the dull main events we’ve grown used to on Superstars.
I take back what I said at the start, this match saved Superstars from being a great big April Fools Joke.
The Hart Dynasty win by Pinfall.
