The Weekly Informer - 26th February 2010

Welcome to The Weekly Informer
Hello folks, and welcome once more to the religion of gossip, where this article is your church and I am your vicar. I must firstly apologise for my tardiness in delivering the latest round of rumour, a very hectic week has just gone by (Read about it Here).
However, lets crack on…
Deadman Running
I see Jay D has been dropping hints of an incident involving The Undertaker at the recent Elimination Chamber PPV.
I can confirm that during his entrance, the pyrotechnics were timed wrongly and this resulted in a fireball catching onto Taker’s outfit and temporarily engulfing him in flames. Eagle-eyed fans will have noted how strange it was that his jacket and hat came off and he almost sprinted to the ring before the cameras had chance to film his usual slow, eerie entrance. During the six man title match, medics had to check over Undertaker and provide cold water for his damaged hands sustained in the mishap, with a bright red burn mark visibly apparent on his chest.
Taker was said to be extremely upset about the incident, with changes now planned to ensure that his grand entrance at Wrestlemania 26 goes according to plan.
There have been numerous videos of the incident removed from Youtube since the incident, but we’ve located one that seems to have slipped through the net for now.
As always if you notice the video is no longer working please let us know via the Contact Form or email us at the usual addresses.
DX No More?
As it looks like HBK has finally got his wish for a rematch against The Deadman, where does this leave DX team-mate Triple H?
DX for the current period now looks to be over, with Hornswoggle being given a new role due to his popularity with the younger audience.
By process of elimination, a feud with Sheamus looks to be the plan for The Game, and looking further into the year a possible heel turn has been mentioned as a strong possibility for Hunter.
One to keep your eyes on…
Future Endeavours Fodder
Two wrestlers who don’t have WWE plans in either the near or distant future are Hurricane Helms and Paul Burchill, as both have been released and wished well in their future endeavours.
Helms courted controversy after the incident involving Chris Jericho prior to the Royal Rumble, whilst Burchill has gone stale after his initial strong push.
Helms is likely to join friends Jeff Hardy and Brian Kendrick on TNA, Burchill less so. Where this leaves on screen sister Katie Burchill is anyone’s guess, although personally I hope she stays and starts wearing less material. Ahem.
Whatever NXT?
WWE NXT has débuted, and on the face of it looks to be a better prospect than ECW.
The current leading light seems to be shining firmly on Daniel Bryan, who is rumoured to have made a great impact backstage and with Vince McMahon. Overall, the debut show’s ratings were good and only time will tell if this will continue.

‘Vintage’ Fan Fury
As mentioned by JayD in the Superstars Recap Michael Cole has landed himself in some hot water, with the fans at least, by disclaiming the previous work of Daniel Bryan on NXT.
The veteran announcer got into an argument with Josh Mathews, claiming that building up a reputation on the Independent circuit meant nothing in comparison to wrestling for the WWE.
Many suspect that this was the start of a developing angle, in which Cole and Mathews would gradually feud from behind the announce table, however Joey Styles commented on his Twitter feed and claimed it was 100% real as Cole lives inside the ‘WWE Bubble’.
Whether it will be developed into a something more now the fans have picked up on it remains to be seen.
