    The Weekly Informer - 18th February 2010

    The Weekly Informer

    Welcome to The Weekly Informer

Hello my loyal fanbase, and welcome once more to another snippet of the secret goings on from within the WWE Universe.

    Bye Bye ECW

Weeks after my initial revelations about the demise of ECW, the curtains finally came down with Ezekiel Jackson as the champ.

Although on the surface a strange choice, Jackson needed a push going onto one of the bigger brands (my sources tell me he’s tipped for Smackdown) and so was given the belt for this purpose.

The ECW title is now officially retired, making Jackson the shortest reigning ECW champion of all time!

    So What’s nXt?

As for its replacement, WWE nXt; rumour has it that Vince McMahon wanted to give fans a ‘small glimpse’ of what it would be like to try and become a wrestler, so the show will be in similar format to the Tough Enough series.

Second generation up and comers like Brett DiBiase (seen once on our screens as the ‘fan’ who interfered in one of Orton’s matches) and Curt ‘Mr Perfect’ Hennig’s son are expected to feature.

Along with them will be more established names like Daniel Bryan (a radical name change cooked up by one of the WWE Creative boys or girls for Bryan Danielson).

The full list of ‘Rookies’ and ‘Pros’ can be seen in this weeks ECW Digest.

    Out with the Old…

ECW to nXt is merely the tip of the iceberg with regards to changes at the moment as the long running Survivor Series PPV is now being dropped (which is a shame in my opinion.)

    …and in with the New

Pay Per Views named ‘Fatal Four Way’, ‘Wild Card’ & ‘Money In The Bank’ are set to replace events such as The Bash, Backlash & Judgment Day, following on from the likes of Breaking Point, Extreme Rulez, Hell in a Cell, TLC and the upcoming Elimination Chamber.

A somewhat major overhaul by the powers that be, a wise decision hopefully.

    On the Road Again

One event that will never be changed is WrestleMania, which draws ever closer.

Rumour has it the Money In The Bank qualifying matches will start this week on Raw, but the big question seems to be whether we get to see the Undertaker Vs. HBK at the biggest show of the year once more.

Although this is still unclear, what is certain is that both competitors will be taking time off to recuperate following the big extravaganza, with both likely to miss the European tours.

So if you’re thinking about booking tickets to see The Deadman or The Heartbreak Kid, you may want to think again.

    The End Bit

Thanks for reading and that’s all for this week folks.

If you spot anything you think I might like to sink my teeth into, drop me an email here.

I’ll be back again soon with more of the hottest rumours and behind the scenes gossip.

    I promise.

After all, Would I lie to you?
