The Weekly Informer - 3rd February 2010

Welcome to The Weekly Informer
Hello boys and girls, welcome to another edition of the ever-growing revelation that is The Informer!
Not Ready to Rumble
What did we all think to the Royal Rumble?
I thought that it was a solid if not spectacular event, predictability being its downside.
The more vigilant of you out there may have noticed that a couple of stars were missing, and if my sources are to be believed (which they should be) it was for varying reasons.
Hurricane Helms & Santino both missed the Rumble match after initially being given slots in the starting 30.
Helms was last week the subject of a police arrest for a drunken disturbance in the early hours along with Chris Jericho.
Y2J appeared sporting a black eye for the inaugural battle royal, whereas Helms was dropped completely.
Where this leaves his future is anyones guess, as before this incident he was trying to renegotiate his release to jump ship to TNA.
Santino Marella on the other hand was absent due to a legitimate injury sustained during his micro-feud with Jack Swagger on the 25/1 episode of Raw. Although not seriously hurt, the Rumble was a step too far and the decision was made to pull him.
Leaving a Legacy
The seeds have been planted regarding Ted Dibiase’s possible face turn and clash with Randy Orton, although which side Cody Rhodes will fall on is still open to debate.
With Dibiase and Orton now pitted together in the upcoming Elimination Chamber PPV, this could be where the face turn finally takes place.
Chamber of Diversity
Speaking of the Chamber, it appears that the Smackdown 6-man match shall be full of ‘lesser sized’ wrestlers with more aerial ability.
Expect contenders such as John Morrison and Rey Mysterio to be involved in the action.
Extinct Championship Wrestling Update
Several weeks ago now I first dropped the bombshell that the Land Of Extreme (ECW) will soon cease to exist.
Early indications are now that this change is not only imminent but will be made in order to focus on the up and coming wrestlers of the future, taking the ‘new talent initiative to a whole new level.
A better idea in my humble opinion.
Hit-Mania!
How great is it to see the Hitman back on our screens?
A WrestleMania match pitting The Excellence of Execution against Vince McMahon will draw money, despite Hart’s obvious limitations following his stroke.
As Raw went off the air, Batista attacked Bret to help Vince, and with John Cena the likely candidate to back Bret, it sets up a Cena/Batista interbrand match up at Mania nicely, perhaps with the older guys in their respective corners.
The End Bit
That’s all for this week folks.
If you spot anything you think I might like to sink my teeth into, drop me an email here.
I’ll be back again soon with more of the hottest rumours and behind the scenes gossip.
I promise.
After all, Would I lie to you?
