The Weekly Informer – 1st December 2009

Welcome to The Weekly Informer
Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of gossip on this chilly Tuesday, the first of December.
I have to say, it wouldn’t hurt to put some trimmings up around here for the festive season.
Moving swiftly on…
There’s not a lot happening this week, so I have some rumours mixed in with some predictions, a deadly combo!
UK On the Up in WWE
As I discussed in a previous edition, Drew McIntyre looked like he was only heading in one direction after it was revealed that all of the right people were backing him.
DX and Vince are among his strongest admirers, which led the wrestling community to believe a title shot was in his immediate future.
However it now appears that Sheamus is the newcomer on the World title stage, and with Batista in position to take on The Deadman for the World Heavyweight Championship, McIntyre may have to drop to either the I-C or US division.
The United States belt is held by a heel (The Miz) and would involve a brand switch, while the I-C is held by face in John Morrison and on the same brand, making it the logical step.
A Morrison/McIntyre feud would be interesting, and with Morrison having had a decent run up to now, I would suggest gold changing hands sooner rather than later.
Falling from Perfection
When a fresh face gets a push it usually results in another superstar being dropped a little further down the card.
Dolph Ziggler has surely has enough opportunities to impress by now, and rumour has it that the big brass at WWE are losing interest in him.
Perhaps they aren’t sure whether he’s going to be able to cut the mustard. We shall see.
Future Endeavours Fodder?
Two more Superstars in danger of sliding down the pack and perhaps even receiving the future endeavours treatment must surely be Mike Knox and Eric Escobar.
Knox has gone from being a respected heel to mid-card jobber at best, and Escobar appears to be fitting into that mould as well.
Time will tell whether his split from horse-faced voice piece Vickie Guerrero is a positive move for his career, or the final nail in his already half closed coffin.
The potential rises and falls mentioned today are still very much up in the air, although when it does happen, remember where you heard it first!
A Mysteriously Quick Return?
Although I reported last week that Rey Mysterio was injured and would be out potentially until WrestleMania, there are now fresh rumours he will be appearing on our screens before old St. Nick pops down your chimney.
Surgery is still a definite for Rey, so whether or not this is just a one-off appearance to really hammer home an injury remains to be seen.
Show Being Nursed
Speaking of surgery, it was very predictable that not only was the Big Show rested this week on Raw, but DX are also now booked to take on just Jericho next week in a handicap bout.
There is still no real concern, however, over Show’s fitness in time for TLC.
The End Bit
Thats all for this week folks
Thanks once again for reading and remember, if you spot anything you think I might like to sink my teeth into, drop me an email here.
I’ll be back again next week with more of the hottest rumours and behind the scenes gossip.
I promise.
After all, Would I lie to you?
