ECW Championship Match

Singles Match

Christian (c)
Vs.
Ezekiel Jackson

A pretty solid if not quick opener. Jackson dominated but in the end just couldn’t get the job done, especially after Regal got removed from ringside.

Result: Christian wins by pinfall after a KillSwitch.

Segment 1

Cryme Tyme Rumble

Cryme Tyme try to steal Khali’s Rumble spot and Teddy Long books The Miz to defend his title in the next match!

Segment 2

Dissension in the Ranks?

Cody Rhodes tells Orton that DiBiase wants to win the Rumble and beat him for the title at WrestleMania.

United States Championship Match

Singles Match

The Miz (c)
Vs.
M.V.P

This wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. M.V.P had the lions share of the offence but Miz managed to keep hold of his U.S gold.

Result: The Miz steals a win with a quick roll-up.

Segment 3

Jeri-Show Reunite?

Jericho and Show have a rather tense meeting in which the giant tells his former partner he’ll be looking out for #1 in the Rumble. R-Truth also appeared and said he’d be looking to eliminate Jericho tonight.

Segment 4

More Dissension in the Ranks?

This time DiBiase tells Orton Cody has been acting weird, and saying he’s going to win the Rumble and go on to beat Sheamus at WrestleMania.

Orton says he doesn’t want help from either of them tonight.

WWE Championship Match

Singles Match

Sheamus (c)
Vs.
Randy Orton

This was a very solid match with a VERY strange ending.

Cody Rhodes jumped the railings and attacked Sheamus in full view of the referee. Orton hit the RKO but the ref called for the DQ.

After the match Orton attacked both Rhodes and DiBiase who had come to calm things down, before getting caught with a Pump Kick by Sheamus.

Result: Sheamus keeps the gold by Disqualification.

WWE Womens Championship Match

Singles Match

Michelle McCool
Vs.
Mickie James

In a bout almost as embarrassing as the build up, Mickie picked up the win in about 10 seconds, before slamming a cake into Michelle and Layla’s faces.

Result: Mickie James becomes the new WWE Womens Champion with a Mick-DT.

WWE Heavyweight Championship Match

Singles Match

The Undertaker (c)
Vs.
Rey Mysterio

Taker got busted open, but in the end even 2 619′s couldn’t keep The Deadman down.

Result: The Undertaker kept hold of the World Heavyweight Championship with a brutal Last Ride.

Segment 5

Kane Issues a Warning

Backstage Kane tells Michaels not to obsess about facing his brother and Triple H tells wishes his partner luck.

Well, this was by no means the best Rumble I’ve ever seen, but it certainly had it’s moments.

From Punk using his free time to preach to the crowd, to Beth Phoenix showing up, to a rather miraculous return, the lack of surprise entrants didn’t stop this being one of the best matches of the year.

Result: Edge returns and stuns the WWE Universe with a Royal Rumble victory.

4. Mickie James defeated Michelle McCool by Pinfall to become the NEW WWE Womens Champion
5. The Undertaker defeated Rey Mysterio by Pinfall to retain the World Heavyweight Championship
6. Edge wins the Royal Rumble and becomes the #1 Contender for the Title of his choice
