    Additional Content

    Womens Championship Match

    Singles Match
    Michelle McCool
    Vs.
    Melina

Meh. I’m not sure why I should care about this one.

McCool and Melina are really good I won’t deny that, but it just seems so obvious that Alicia Fox is going to get involved and either help McCool grab the win, or cost her the match and end up getting kicked in the face for her troubles.

Either way I’ll probably be using this one as the toilet break so I’m hoping it comes around the middle of the card.

Prediction: Not that I particularly care, but I’d guess McCool will steal the title.

    Grudge Match

    No Disqualification Match
    Dolph Ziggler
    Vs.
    The Great Khali

If you’ve read any of the recent weekly rundowns you’ll probably have noticed that I expect big things from Ziggler and rate him as one of the best young guys in the company at the minute.

Pairing him against Khali is a bit of a risk as it doesn’t really give him the chance to show off what he is capable of, but at the same time another win over a 7ft former World Champion would do the new-age Mr. Perfect no harm on his PPV début.

Prediction: Dolph Ziggler to win after excessive weapon use.

    ECW Championship Match

    Championship Scramble Match
    Christian
    Vs.
    Jack Swagger
    Vs.
    Tommy Dreamer (c)
    Vs.
    Finlay
    Vs.
    Mark Henry

I liked the last lot of Championship Scramble matches, it’s a pretty interesting concept and is very very similar to one of my favourite matches of all time; the 15 minute Hardcore Battle Royal at WrestleMania 2000.

Dreamer is nowhere near the best person on ECW at the minute, but he’s worked his whole career to get where he is and to take the title off him less than a month after he won it would be cruel, but perhaps warranted. After all he’s renewed his contract which was the main focus of his title push storyline so it wouldn’t hurt him too much to drop the belt and feud with Finlay or The Hart Dynasty for a while.

I can’t see Henry winning this as he’s too busy with Evan Bourne and Tony Atlas, but I can perhaps see Atlas costing him a pinfall somewhere during this.

Finlay shouldn’t win it, infact his inclusion baffles me completely as he hasn’t really been in the title picture and someone like Tyson Kidd could have used the spot much better.

So that leaves Christian and Swagger and I’m having trouble choosing between them. Both guys have been up there recently and neither one would look out of place with the title on their shoulder again.

Prediction: Probably Swagger but I really can’t decide. I’ll probably be completely wrong and it’ll be Finlay.

    Unified Tag Team Championships Match

    Tag Team Match
    Carlito & Primo
    Vs.
    Priceless

Carlito and Primo have done literally nothing of note since winning the Unified titles before the start of WrestleMania. They’ve bounced around facing various tag teams, sometimes looking like they might feud with ‘The’ Brian Kendrick and his on/off partners, sometimes looking like they might feud with The Hart Dynasty and eventually being thrown against Priceless at The Bash where I can’t see them holding on to the gold.

That being said, if Priceless do win it means the whole ‘Kendrick looking for a partner’ angle has been pretty pointless and there aren’t really any other tag teams to take them on for the titles.

Prediction: Priceless should probably win it, but I don’t see where things would go from there.

    Grudge Match

    Singles Match
    John Cena
    Vs.
    The Miz

My initial reaction to this was ‘Yawn’.

But then I began to think a bit, and I realised that anything that means I don’t have to sit through yet another god-awful Big Show/Cena bout is positive.

After all The Miz has said a lot of harsh but true things in the lead up to this and he is actually pretty good in the ring. Cena has done his usual shouty ‘I don’t care what you think’ routine and it’ll be nice to see him in a match where he doesn’t get the crap beaten out of him for 20 minutes, then turn it round and win.

That being said it isn’t something I’m looking forward to, but I’m hoping they will prove me wrong.

Prediction: The Miz to grab a cheap victory.

    Intercontinental Championship Match

    Belt Vs. Mask Match
    Rey Mysterio
    Vs.
    Chris Jericho (c)

I’m not Mysterio’s biggest fan it’s fair to say, but his matches against Jericho have been great.

Both men know each other inside out and this has led to some breathtaking action as well as some unexpected results. Mysterio did indeed get unmasked, but it wasn’t for long enough at least in Jericho’s eyes.

Personally I don’t care if Mysterio is unmasked, it’s unlikely it will change the style of his matches from the current beaten down to an underdog win formula so it isn’t likely to make me like him more.

Prediction: I don’t think Mysterio will lose his mask but I don’t want Jericho to lose the title belt. I’ll go for a Mysterio victory by DQ.

    World Heavyweight Championship Match

    Singles Match
    C.M Punk (c)
    Vs.
    Jeff Hardy

I heard what had happened at Extreme Rules before I’d actually seen it, but had I not been informed I really wouldn’t have expected it.

The ladder match between Jeff and Edge was nothing short of fantastic and the way it ended was very clever. Then to have C.M Punk dash down and take the title just minutes after Hardy had won it, leaving him as the shortest reigning champion of all time was nothing short of genius and has set up Punk’s heel turn fantastically.

Whether this match will be anything to shout about or not I’m still undecided. I also wouldn’t rule out Edge and/or John Morrison from getting involved as they aren’t featuring anywhere else on the card…yet.

Prediction: C.M Punk to win by out and out cheating.

    WWE Championship Match

    Three Stages of Hell Match
    Randy Orton (c)
    Vs.
    Triple H

    Bout 1: Standard
    Bout 2: Falls Count Anywhere
    Bout 3: Stretcher

I’m not sure about the stipulations for this one, specifically the Stretcher bit. I don’t like them too much as it is, but after two other matches I’m not sure what Orton and Triple H will have left in the tank.

I suppose there’s always the possibility that one guy will win the first two matches and there won’t be a need for the third, but that seems even more unlikely than The Big Show turning up and joining Legacy.

I’m hoping the Falls Count Anywhere bit will last the longest and end up in some strange places around the arena, but again I’m not holding my breath.

It’s interesting to note that the ‘DX’ tour begins over here in the U.K soonish, so you’d expect HBK’s return sooner rather than later, perhaps even at The Bash.

Prediction: Orton will probably win it with help from Legacy, unless HBK turns up to help his DX pal.
