Hello everyone and welcome to the Elimination Chamber 2010 live results!
For anyone thinking it was No Way Out tonight, you’re forgiven. We thought the same thing until a couple of weeks ago. And lets face it, it’s pretty much the same thing anyway, just with the WWE Creative team’s bizarre naming twist thrown over the top of it.
Names aside tonight’s card is one of the hardest to predict we can personally remember seeing in a long time, so it should be a good one!
Lets dive right on with the show, but before we do, anyone else think it’s strange that Batista is on the events poster but not in any of the matches?
Hmm, anyway… here we go with the first match! The ’structure descending’ music is playing, so it looks like we’re kicking off with a title match!
Match 1
WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match

Well as we’re kicking off with a title match it looks like this draws one of our polls to an impromptu close!
We’ll tally up the votes and let you know who our fans think will leave with WWE gold!
We have a tie! Both Triple H and John Cena took 39.1% of the votes!

Triple H, John Cena, Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase have all taken their places inside the pods, meaning Sheamus and Kofi Kingston will kick off the match.
Sheamus tries to steamroller over Kingston early, going for the Pump Kick, but Kofi reversed.
After a period of intense offence from The Celtic Warrior Kingston battles back and picks up the first near-fall of the night with a springboard Cross-body off the ropes.
Cena Sucks seems to be echoing around the building, although it’s not quite as strong as usual.
Sheamus takes control after throwing Kingston into one of the steel rods on the outside. Backbreaker… 1..2.. Kofi kicks out.
We’re counting down to a new entry….
Triple H is in!
The crowd go crazy for The Game as he squares up to possible WrestleMania opponent Sheamus.
Trips tees off on the WWE Champion and drops him with a Harley Race High Knee!
Sheamus takes a beating in the corner while Kofi lays prone on the outside and King reminds us that pinfalls have to take place INSIDE the ring.
Triple H clearly doesn’t want to go for a pinfall any time soon as he tosses Sheamus over the top rope and to the steel on the outside.
Both men attempt to slam each other into the caging with little success, before The Game clotheslines them back into the ring.
Sheamus goes for the Celtic Cross! But Triple H reverses and hits a DDT that grabs a 2 count.
Kofi re-joins the action with a flying Cross-Body, then hits Sheamus with the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9….10 in the corner.
Kingston takes advantage of Triple H laying on the outside, hitting a Boom Drop over the top rope. Problem is he lands on his tail-bone and Sheamus knocks him down with a Clothesline seconds later.
The clocks up again…
Orton’s in!
Orton takes everyone out in quick succession, while the commentary team go over his issues with all three men.
Sheamus is first to taste the ‘two miles of chain’ at the hands of Orton, shortly followed by Triple H.
As Orton works both men over Kofi flies from the top rope and takes them all down, he then tries another springboard Cross-body, but Orton’s ready for him and catches him in the midriff with a Dropkick.
Orton begins to scout Triple H as the crowd chant ‘Lets Go Orton’.
Triple H reverses the RKO! Orton ducks the Trouble in Paradise!
Triple H goes for a Pedigree on Orton but he backdrops him over the rope and to the steel on the outside.
We’re ready for another participant…
It’s DiBiase this time! He goes straight after everyone other than Orton.
When he finally does focus on Orton he helps him to his feet and the two men begin to talk tactics, double teaming Triple H, Sheamus and then Kofi.
Orton and DiBiase shove Kofi’s head THROUGH one of the squares of chain on the outside, then Ted locks on a Boston Crab while Orton continues to stomp on the Ghanaian Sensation’s back.
Surely we’re due an elimination soon! Striker handily points out that there’s never been a Raw Chamber match that has had all six participants involved at once, it looks like we might see that happen soon.
Triple H is next to take a beating at Legacy’s hands, ending with a rope-assisted DDT from Orton right onto the steel. Sickening thud according to Michael Cole.
With everyone down and out Orton and DiBiase begin to circle Cena’s cell as the countdown begins.
Cena’s in and somehow he’s managed to take out both DiBiase and Orton!
Leg Drop to the back of DiBiase’s neck! That looked absolutely brutal!
Attitude Adjustment over the top rope onto the steel! But DiBiase can’t be pinned out there.
DiBiase crawls back into the ring only to get locked into an STF! Just as he’s about to tap Orton breaks it up.
Cody Rhodes is at ringside! He throws a pipe into the cell which DiBiase claims.
Cena has Orton on his shoulders, here comes Ted with the pipe… He hits Orton!
Attitude Adjustment!
DiBiase drives the pipe into Cena’s midsection then after a few moments hesitation covers Orton. 1..2..3!
We have our first elimination.
Elimination : Randy Orton. Pinfall.
Things are happening thick and fast now! Kofi hits DiBiase with Trouble in Paradise and covers for the three!
Elimination : Ted DiBiase. Pinfall.
Sheamus hits Kingston almost instantly with a Pump Kick, followed by a Celtic Cross for the third elimination of the match.
Elimination : Kofi Kingston. Pinfall.
In all the chaos I should point out that when DiBiase hit Orton with the pipe, it looked like it might have been by mistake.
He kind of swung for Cena’s head, but ended up connecting with Orton’s back instead.
Sheamus has Cena tied up in a Tree of Woe at the minute. He’s setting up for yet another Celtic Cross… but Triple H catches him with a Low Blow before he can land it.
Pedigree! 1..2..3! The Champion’s gone!
Elimination : Sheamus. Pinfall.
We’re down to the two people you, the WWEBlog fans couldn’t decide between!
Cena locks on the STF! Will Triple H tap??
Yes! John Cena is once again the WWE Champion!
Elimination : Triple H. Submission.
Well, I can’t say as I’m particularly happy about this, but I didn’t rule it out beforehand.
As the Chamber lifts away Vince McMahon’s music hits. The boss struts out onto the staging and congratulates Cena on winning and says he’s on his way to a main event at WrestleMania… as long as he can beat this man…
Batista emerges from behind the curtain, it looks like we’ve got an impromptu title match!
John Cena becomes the new WWE Champion.
Match 2
WWE Championship Match
John Cena (c)
Vs.
Batista
Ok, this one didn’t last long at all.
Cena managed to land a punch, but Batista then destroyed him and pinned him.
We have yet another new WWE Champion folks. I knew him being on the poster was relevant in some way!
Batista becomes the new WWE Champion by Pinfall.
Match 3
Intercontinental Championship Match
Drew McIntyre (c)
Vs.
Kane
McIntyre debuted his new entrance at the start of this match.
I really don’t care for his new music at the minute, and his new entrance starts off like a promo video. Bottom line it just seems a bit slow and bizarre.
Kane’s no nonsense entrance came as somewhat of a relief after Drew had sauntered his way down to the squared circle.
Kane starts this match with all the momentum, and despite a brief flurry from McIntyre is still controlling things now.
I did wonder why this match got placed before the Divas Championship match, but I guess it’s because the outcome of this one is so predictable.
Regardless of what Kane does in this match, he’s never going to take the title from the Sinful Scot during his big push.
Kane dumps McIntyre over the top rope and he lands incredibly awkwardly on the outside. There’s a good chance McIntyre sustained some real damage there, although he’s back on his feet so hopefully it’s nothing too serious.
‘Borrr-ing’ chants are being directed at the ring now, this can’t be what McMahon and co wanted to hear while their prodigy is in the ring.
Kane reverses the Future Shock and lands a Big Boot!
HUUUGE Uppercut from Kane! 1..2.. McIntyre kicks out, but only just.
Kane heads to the top rope for his trademark Flying Clothesline… hits it!
He’s calling for the Chokeslam… reversed by McIntyre who scoots to the outside.
Kane follows and bounces the champ around a bit before throwing him back under the bottom rope.
McIntyre slides out of the other side and begins to head up the ramp. Kane follows and the two end up brawling back to the ring.
Kane goes for the Chokeslam, but McIntyre grabs the ropes. As the referee tries to break the hold McIntyre pokes Kane in the eye and hits the Future Shock!
1..2..3. McIntyre retains!
This was by no means amazing, but I’ve seen a lot worse make it onto WWE Pay Per Views recently. I’d have liked to have seen the feud develop a little before getting a PPV match, but I guess timing was against that.
Drew McIntyre retains the Intercontinental Championship by Pinfall.
Segment 1
Pardon your French
Backstage Gail Kim is making her way through the back when Maryse catches up to her.
She spouts something in French that I assume was incredibly cutting, then tells Gail that she wants them to have a good match and she thinks they are sexier than the Smackdown divas.
Gail responds with some French of her own, revealing that she’s actually understood every single word that’s been said in the past few weeks.
Match 4
Divas Championship Match

Just as we looked to be getting started with this one Vickie Guerrero ‘Excuse Me’d’ her way out onto the staging.
She says that she’s heard Raw divas have been less than polite about Smackdown divas, and as a diva herself she would like to assure everyone that they are sexier and generally better, or something like that.
She says that as the only diva in the building with authority, she’s postponing the Divas Championship Match (yay!) and replacing it with a tag team match (damn!) pitting them against Lay-Cool.
Match 4.1
Divas Tag Team Match
Maryse & Gail Kim
Vs.
Lay-Cool
I didn’t particularly care about this match when it was for the Divas Championship, but now I really couldn’t care less.
I’m going to grab a drink, I’ll be back in a second.
Back! Michelle McCool just picked up the win with a Faith Breaker after Maryse feigned for the tag and pie-faced her partner right into a Big Boot.
Doesn’t that technically class as a tag? Ah well, who cares as long as the match is over.
After the bell Maryse hit Gail with the French Kiss and talked a little trash.
Lay-Cool win by Pinfall.
Segment 2
nXt Hype
Backstage Josh Mathews asked Miz how he rated his rookie’s chances on nXt.
The Miz says that his rookie might be an internet sensation but to him he’s just a star wars geek who needs to listen to his mentor.
Miz says if he listens to him (the first ever dual US and Tag Team champion) he’ll go far.
M.V.P then enters and drops the bombshell that they’ll face each other for the US Championship tonight, so he better go and get ready for it.
Another impromptu title match!
Segment 3
More nXt Hype
Back in the ring Regal continues the nXt hype by talking about his involvement in the show and how the show is going to work in general.
Regal says that due to his years of experience he demands that he is treated with respect.
He says that as a model of professionalism not only could all the rookies learn something from him, but so could all the fans in the audience.
Edge’s music hits and cuts him off.
Regal asks him what he wants in a very British manner, and Edge tells him that after watching him from the back for a few minutes he had to come out and stop him droning on and on.
Edge says he has something the fans might want to hear, regarding his choice of opponent for WrestleMania.
He says he’ll make that decision on Raw, but tonight he’s here to do something else.
He Spears Regal to the canvas and heads back up the ramp, pay-cheque secured for the night.
Match 5
United States Championship Match
The Miz (c) (w/ The Big Show)
Vs.
M.V.P (w/Mark Henry)
While I’m happy Miz has made it onto the card, I really wish it hadn’t been against one half of The Worlds Boring-est Tag Team; M.V.P.
M.V.P almost gets himself disqualified in the early going, after refusing to stop stomping on Miz in the corner.
Miz hasn’t gotten into this match yet, kicking out of about 8 covers has been about the extent of his involvement so far.
However, when The Miz does eventually hit a move worth mentioning, it was nothing short of AWESOME.
I can’t really describe it in a way that does it justice, but it was kind of a CodeBreaker to the gut as M.V.P held himself up on the turnbuckle.
Miz is dominating now…but M.V.P pulls a roll-up out of nowhere! 1..2.. Miz kicks out!

With Show cheering him along at ringside Miz hits his trademark Corner Clothesline, but twice fails to fly off the top rope and instead gets thrown to the canvas.
Miz is busted open from a Headbutt he delivered while in the corner, I wouldn’t be surprised if the EMT’s weren’t out to patch him up soon.
M.V.P hits Ballin’! 1..2.. Miz gets his foot on the rope!
Show pulls The Miz out of harms way but gets kicked by M.V.P and ends up tangling with Mark Henry.
Show gets the better of the Worlds Strongest Man and throws him into the timekeepers area! The guard rails literally explode as he crashes through them and things go flying everywhere.
Knockout Punch! Big Show catches M.V.P while the referee is distracted. Miz covers for the 1..2..3!
The Big Show seems happier about this result than The Miz does.
The Miz retains the United States Championship by Pinfall.
Match 6
World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match
The Undertaker (c)
Vs.
Rey Mysterio
Vs.
John Morrison
Vs.
R-Truth
Vs.
Chris Jericho
Vs.
C.M Punk
I’d have personally put the Chamber matches the other way round, but perhaps something even more exciting than Batista stealing a title will happen at the end of this one.
To be honest it wouldn’t take much I don’t suppose.
Anyway, much more exciting is the fact that it’s time to check the polls and see who YOU guys think is going to leave this match with the gold!
Well, a massive 49.1% of you think The Undertaker will retain his championship tonight! Just 22.6% think our pick Chris Jericho will take the title.

Taker, Mysterio, Morrison and Jericho start out in the pods, so C.M Punk and R-Truth will kick us off in this main event match!
As Punk made his way to the ring he called the 4 Superstars already in the chamber weak and told them that tomorrow when they are nursing their wounds they shouldn’t think of their loss as failure, they should think of it as being saved by Punk.
R-Truth’s music cuts him off and he raps his way down to the chamber.
I really hope Punk flattens him before the first pod opens.
With Batista holding the WWE Championship and almost 100% certain to face Cena at WrestleMania it looks like Edge will choose to fight for the title on the line in this match. Chris Jericho looks to be the likely candidate in that case, but there’s every chance there will be a twist or two before we get to Mania.
Truth starts this match as he said he would, in a high flying manner.
However, moments later Punk caught him with the GTS and that’s all she wrote for the man that was once known as K-Kwick.
Elimination : R-Truth. Pinfall.
After the pinfall Punk grabbed a microphone from Serena and told the The Undertaker he better hope his pod opens last because he’s going to make him tap out just like he did before.
Punk continued to talk until the clock appeared and released…
Rey Mysterio!
Rey sets about Punk as soon as he gets out of the pod and grabs a couple of near-falls before going for some major offence on the outside of the ropes.
However, Punk catches him and swings him like a bat into the chains and the supporting post.
Punk drags him into the ring and covers but Mysterio somehow kicks out at 2.
Punk drives Mysterio’s head into one of the bullet-proof pods, sending a gruesome thudding noise echoing around the chamber.
Mysterio somehow kicks out of the pinfall again and moments later finds himself on top of one of the pods getting ready to fly onto Punk.
Punk jumps to the top rope and stops him from doing so, then goes for a huge GTS but it doesn’t come off.
The two battle on the top and Rey comes off better, hitting a Huricanrana from the top rope to the steel outside.
Punk rolls under the bottom rope and Rey springs onto the rope to hit the Splash! 1..2..3! Punk’s gone!
Elimination : C.M Punk. Pinfall.
To the one fan who voted for C.M Punk, sorry. It just wasn’t your night.
The clock appears and signals the introduction of another participant…
Jericho!
Jericho bursts out of the pod and almost immediately gets drilled with a 619, however he smartly rolls to the outside.
Mysterio goes for a Springboard attack, then does the obligatory ‘Spiderman’ bit when he misses.
Jericho drags Rey off the cage and sends him slamming into the steel to take the upper hand.
After controlling the action for a few minutes Jericho bangs on Taker’s pod, but it fails to get a reaction from The Deadman, who continues to pace around and watch the action.
Rey locks in a perfect Dragon Sleeper, but Jericho drives him into the turnbuckle and breaks it, then locks in the Walls of Jericho right in the centre of the ring.
We’ve got a clock again…. will Rey tap before someone enters to save him?
Morrison is next to enter the fray and makes a bee-line for Jericho who breaks the hold to defend himself.
Morrison shows there are no friends in the Elimination Chamber, taking Rey’s head off with a huge kick.
Mysterio repays the favour moments later, kicking Morrison from the top rope, right through one of the pod walls, which barely budges.
Matt Striker makes the stupidest comment of the night by a country mile, commenting on the atmosphere inside the Scottrade Centre by sayying ‘it’s like everyone in the arena knows who’s coming next’.
Erh, they kinda do Matt.
Jericho gets caught with the Flying Chuck! But Mysterio takes Morrison away before he can make the cover and the two begin to battle in the corner.
Starship Pain! 1..2..3!
Elimination : Rey Mysterio. Pinfall.
Morrison takes a second out to glance at The Undertaker and pays the price, getting caught in a Walls of Jericho.
However, for the second time tonight he has to break the hold to defend himself against an entering Superstar, this time The Undertaker!
Taker targets Jericho and begins to call for a Chokeslam.
He grabs both men and sets up for a Stereo version, but both men kick him in the gut and counter.
Morrison rolls Jericho up! 1..2.. Jericho just barely kicks out in time!
Morrison gets backdropped over the top rope and lands hard on the steel. Jericho goes after Taker but the Deadman recovers quickly and backs him into a pod.
Jericho tries to close the door but Taker rips it open with such force that it breaks. He pummels Jericho inside the pod then goes after Morrison in the ring.
Flying Chuck! Morrison hits Taker but hurts his own ankle in the process.
He goes for Starship Pain but the time it takes him allows Taker to get his knees up and counter.
Jericho momentarily steps back into the fray, but as Taker sits up he thinks twice and seals himself inside the pod once again.
The Undertaker drags Morrison to the same pod and tries unsuccessfully to drive him through the glass.
He sets him up for the Last Ride but Morrison grabs the cell and Jericho seizes the moment, driving Taker into the steel then into one of the pods.
Morrison goes for a Flying Chuck on Jericho, but Taker catches him from the outside and Chokeslams him down onto the steel!
He drags him back into the ring and covers for the 1..2..3.
Elimination : John Morrison. Pinfall.
We’re down to two men; our pick Chris Jericho, and the fans choice The Undertaker.
Jericho hits a Superplex, which seems to have done as much damage to him as it did to The Deadman. He drags himself into a cover which gets a long, long 2 count.
Jericho spends a little too long Showboating and gets caught in a Chokeslam.
He reverses it into a Walls of Jericho, which The Deadman momentarily reverses into Hells Gate, but then gets flipped back into the Walls once more.
Taker does all he can not to tap out and once again tries to lock in Hells Gate, but Jericho escapes it and crawls through the ropes.
He sits up and goes for the Tombstone but Jericho escapes and hits the best CodeBreaker I’ve ever seen!
Jericho crawls to the cover..1..2.. Taker somehow kicks out!
Last Ride! But The Deadman falls backwards and doesn’t cover.
He drags himself to his feet and calls for the Tombstone!
Wait! Shawn Michaels just popped up through one of the floor panels!
Sweet Chin Music!!!
Jericho covers! 1..2..3!
We’ve got a new World Heavyweight Champion!
Elimination : The Undertaker. Pinfall.
I’m guessing we’ve also got a very annoyed Deadman, a HBK Vs. Undertaker rematch and an Edge Vs. Jericho title match at Mania.
Chris Jericho becomes the NEW World Heavyweight Champion.
Cast Your Vote!
The results are in for the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match!
WWEBlog fans couldn’t decide between Triple H and John Cena, who captured 39.1% of the votes each.
Randy Orton came third, one place ahead of Sheamus and two places ahead of Kofi Kingston.
Not a single fan thought Ted DiBiase has what it takes to claim the WWE Championship!
Results from the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber poll show that almost half of our voters think The Undertaker will keep hold of his title (49.1%).
Jericho came second with 22.6%, followed by Rey Mysterio (13.2%), John Morrison (7.5%) and R-Truth (5.7%).
Only one solitary person thought that C.M Punk would take the title in this one.
The End Bit
So, we’re almost at the end of the Road to WrestleMania and what a ‘bathroom break’ this has been.
Both championships changed hands, one of them twice and we still don’t have a Divas Champion.
Actually, who cares about the Divas Championship? We’re going to see a Taker/HBK re-match!
