Elimination Chamber 2010 Confirmed Matches & Mini-Preview
Find out what matches are currently scheduled to take place at The Elimination Chamber 2010.
On February 21 a brand new PPV will make it’s debut in the WWE.
Following heavily in the same shoes as it’s predecessor; No Way Out, while complying with the writing teams new ‘naming convention’ WWE Elimination Chamber will feature two headlining Chamber matches for the WWE and World Heavyweight Championship titles.
Let’s take a look at the matches:
WWE Divas Championship Match

Maryse
Vs.
Gail Kim
When Melina took the Divas Championship from Jillian Hall after a record-breaking 4 minute title run, it looked like the fan favourite would hold the gold for a good stretch.
However, when she became the victim of a Torn ACL and had to relinquish the gold, a 8-Diva tournament was devised to crown a new champion.
Maryse and Gail Kim proved their worth by getting to the final of the tournament and at Elimination Chamber they will battle it out for the gold.
Maryse has been uncharacteristically complimentary towards Kim in the lead up to this match, however the French speaking members of the WWE Universe will have noticed that she’s been less than friendly when speaking about her opponent in French.
Regardless of rivalries, one thing is for sure; at Elimination Chamber a new Divas Champion will be crowned.
Intercontinental Championship Match
Singles Match
Drew McIntyre (c)
Vs.
Kane
This looks to be a classic ‘filler’ match.
Kane and McIntyre have had very little interaction over the past few weeks, and this looks to be a case of ’something to do’ for the young Scot while his two main rivals (R-Truth and John Morrison) are otherwise engaged in the Elimination Chamber.
That being said, Kane always has the ability within him to pull out a very good match, and if the things said about McInytre are to be believed, so does he.
World Heavyweight Championship Match

R-Truth

The titles will be on the line in the Show-piece namesake matches of this ‘brand new’ Pay Per View.
All 10 challengers in these matches earned the right to battle for their brands respective titles by picking up victories in qualifying matches prior to the big event.
Well, perhaps 9 of the 10 challengers, as C.M Punk had qualification handed to him by Batista, who walked out of their match, seemingly disinterested in going after The Undertaker’s Heavyweight gold.
If the WWEBlog Informant is to be believed, Smackdown’s Chamber match is meant to have been booked to be a fast paced, high flying affair, although with three of the six competitors struggling with injuries, it remains to be seen if it will truly be that way.
One thing is for sure though, these bouts will be brutal, quite possibly bloody and there is every chance the Superstar who walks in with the gold won’t be walking out with it and heading to WrestleMania as the champ.
